Marielle Brewster: Foundation Governor

Chair of Governors and Chair of the Curriculum and Policy Committee

Current term: 06/07/2019 - 06/07/2023

Both my children attended St Boniface from 2006-2016 and are now at Catholic secondary schools. I work with children as a consultant paediatric dentist at King’s college hospital. I am a First Holy Communion Catechist and help with the over fives Liturgy on Sundays.

Luisa Eboweme: Local Authority Governor

Current term: 09/09/2019 - 08/09/2023

I am an architect specialising in sustainability and work for an international company as a Sustainability Champion.
I have two children, who attended St. Boniface and are now teenagers. I have always been very impressed with the strong sense of community in the school and the commitment of teachers aiming to raise the academic achievement of each child while looking after their wellbeing and the extra-curriculum experiences that can be provided.
I support the school ethos and am happy to contribute in any possible way to raise the already outstanding school standards.
I am passionate about architecture and sustainability and love spending my free time going out to the theatre or a concert, art exhibitions and if I am at home, reading a good book in my free time.

John Wall: Foundation Governor

Chair of the Personnel, Finance and Premises Committee

Current term: 23/02/2019 - 22/02/2023

I live on a neighbouring street to the school and am a parishioner at St Boniface Church. I work as a Human Resources Manager at a local hospital.  My mother and sister are both teachers at Catholic primary schools. In my spare time, I enjoying swimming at Tooting Bec Lido and walking.

Adela Vianello: Foundation Governor

Personnel, Finance and Premises Committee

Current term: 22/06/2022 - 21/06/2026

I am a mum of two St Boniface pupils, one just making the transition to a local Catholic secondary school. I work as a Deputy Director of Human Resources in the Civil Service. I was born in South London and have lived here nearly all my life. Since moving to Tooting in 2004, I have been a parishioner at St Boniface Church and have always volunteered in some capacity within the church and wider local community; this is something I’m really passionate about. I am a long-serving member of the Parish Pastoral Council, a First Holy Communion Catechist, and a reader at mass. I became a governor as I feel it's a positive way I can use my skills to give back to this wonderful primary school which has nurtured my children.

Veronika Hughes Bednar:  Parent Governor

Curriculum and Policy Committee

Current term:  13/12/2021 - 12/12/2025

I am a solicitor and, most importantly, a mum of two. My eldest started at St. Boniface nursery in September 2021 and I have been a parishioner of St Boniface Church since moving to the area around the time she was born. Education has always played a central role in my life as I come from a family of teachers. I believe that education is key for success in life and that it is crucial to have excellent early years schooling. As a new Governor from January 2022, I look forward to contributing positively to the school. Outside of school I enjoy cooking, baking, travelling and exploring new cultures.

Jim Russell

Jim Russell: Foundation Governor

Personnel, Finance and Premises Committee

Current term: 01/08/2021 - 31/07/2025

I am a chartered tax accountant in my own Practice, my son used to attend St Boniface RC Primary School. I am a reader at Mass and also a catechist on the Parish’s First Holy Communion Programme and The Children’s Sunday Liturgy Programme. I decided to become a governor because it gave me an opportunity to give something back to the school my son had been so happy at. The main strength of the school is the team, its ethos and progressive thinking. As a member of the Personnel, Finance and Premises Committee, I am pleased to have worked with the school this year to achieve best value for money.

I am currently in my tenth year of teaching, the vast majority of which has been in the supportive and caring community of St Boniface school. As someone who grew up as a parishioner of St Boniface I was thrilled to start my career as a teaching assistant at this school back in 2006. Since then I've enjoyed leading the subject of History, with a passion for local history projects and promoting Black History Month to celebrate the diversity of our school. Out of school, I love to read widely, and I am currently studying yoga. I am proud to be the staff governor for St Boniface.
