St Boniface RC Primary School

One who does good

Friends of St Boniface - FoSB

The Friends of St Boniface is an active, friendly PTA group of parents who organise events and activities to raise funds for the school and the children’s trips.
We are a registered charity (1093939) and all parents and carers are members and welcome to come along to any of our meetings.

How YOU can help:
Whether you work full-time or part-time, have ideas or time available, we need your help. Come along to a meeting, join the mailing list or chat with us on the playground.
We have FoSB families who speak all languages and can help you make new friends with fellow parents. The children take great pride in seeing their parents helping at the school and helping plan some of the larger events can be great experience to add to your CV.

How we raise money:
We do this by organising events for both the children and adults to enjoy, such as:
• Community Breakfasts and Coffee Mornings
• Quiz & Bingo Nights, Discos (in the afternoon)
• Cake, pre-loved uniform/dressing up costume sales
• Creating Christmas cards and calendars,
• Christmas Family Night, Easter Egg raffles
• St Boniface Readathon, Move in May (fitness focus)
• Mother’s and Father’s Day gifting
• Summer Fayre
Keep up to date with all our events on our Facebook page at: @friendsofstboniface

Other Ways you can Support the School:

Every time you shop online, please access your site via Easyfundraising: then every purchase you make will raise a donation from the retailer. Your donations are then transferred to Friends of St Boniface if we are your chosen charity.

AmazonSmile: When you shop, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to our school. Please visit Amazon smile (not amazon) and choose the FoSB as your charity of choice.

Company Matched Giving/Funding Schemes: Many companies offer their employees the chance to take part in a matched funding scheme. Generally, the employee must be involved at an event, and then the employer will match what we raise. For example – One Mum worked serving drinks at the Christmas disco and we raised £800 at that stall. Her employer then ‘matched’ her charitable work and donated £300 towards our fundraising.
Please talk to your companies HR department to see if you could help in this way.

Stikins: Stick on name labels for clothes, shoes & lunchboxes. No more sewing or ironing in labels! Quote our unique number 19023 and the school receives a donation back on your label purchase.

Donations: Financial donations are very gratefully received and we also welcome any donations of goods (or services) that we can use as a raffle or other prize. Any way you can help us, whether it could be a prize, a financial donation or an hour of your time would be fantastic.

What the money we raise is spent on:
Over the last few years, £8k of money the FoSB raised has been spent on school trips across the age range from Nursery to Year 6. The trips are invaluable and help to enrich the children’s learning and enjoyment beyond the school gates – visits have included museums, galleries, farms, parks, central London, the countryside and the seaside.
We work closely with the school to identify areas where some extra funding can go a long way, be it buying IT equipment, stocking up the library, improving the playground or other projects that the school has prioritised.

Thank you very much for your support.
